About me
Hey, I'm Raynor. I have spent the last 9 years working as a first responder. I decided to become a counselor due to all of the mental health needs I saw while responding to calls. Through the fire academy I learned how to utilize mindfulness as a tool to increase my efficacy on the fire ground and combat job/life stress.
My goal is to help first responders heal from the stress of the job and live fulfilling lives off duty and to help everyday people develop the tools to respond to their own emergencies more effectively.
I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviors and how they relate to their personal values and life goals.
I utilize motivational interviewing to explore the ideas of change and the resistance to it.
I also incorporate aspects of internal family systems and Gestalt Therapy to explore parts of the experience that exist more in the subconscious.
